Digital Radiology- Radiographs are extremely helpful for diagnosing and monitoring many medical and surgical problems. Within minutes, we are able to take and interpret x-rays on site due to our digital radiology machine. Digital radiology allows for better, more detailed images, which can be easily emailed to you for your home records, or sent to a radiologist for a second opinion if needed.

Ultrasound- Westlake Animal Hospital has an ultrasound machine on site to help diagnose your pet’s condition. Ultrasound is a non-invasive procedure that helps look at the architecture of organs, movement of fluid, and aids in certain types of biopsies.

In-house laboratory and Out of hospital laboratory- Westlake Animal Hospital offers state of the art in-house testing including hematology, serum chemistry, urinalysis, parasite screening, and dermatology testing (skin and ear cytology/fungal culture). Because we have testing on site, we can have results within minutes to hours rather than days, allowing for prompt treatment and faster recovery for your pet. The laboratory used off site allows for more in depth and specialized testing.
